Tour Plan
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
You will be picked up from Kampala or Entebbe and begin your scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside, small towns and tea plantations. On arrival in the park, you will check in to your lodge and relax in preparation for the next day’s safari activities.
Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise
After an early breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in the park, where you may see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and different bird species. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, one of the best places to see hippos, crocodiles and many water birds at close range.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will drive south towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is a beautiful drive through rolling hills, local villages and forested landscapes. You will arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge and prepare for your gorilla trekking experience the next day.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience
Today is the highlight of the safari. After an early briefing by park rangers, you will start your guided trek into the forest to search for mountain gorillas. The walk can take a few hours depending on the movement of the gorillas, but meeting them in their natural habitat is a truly unforgettable experience. After the trek, you return to the lodge to rest.
Day 5: Return to Kampala / Entebbe
After breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views and short stops before arriving in the evening, marking the end of your safari.
